As a development company where, and how you store your source code is very important. You can always install SVN, and create your own repository on a spare server. Though are you going to expose it to the internet for remote access? Can your team take the time to assure the backups are being done. Where are those backups being stored? We have been using
Project Locker for a month now, and can highly recommend their service. We connect to our repository from OSX (via SVNX), Windows 7 & XP(via
Tortoise) without any issues. The repository is fast, and the web based management tools are straight forward, and easy. Though 99% of the time your interacting with the repository is through your SVN client of choice.
